4 days into .dm version and 3 before the .com reset the admins announced some bad news. The developer that was working on the new Family system decided to go on a vacation to Egypt, leaving the unfinished new family system behind.

Omerta players didn't know what they saw today when they read the newspost made by the admins telling them about the problems with the new Family system.

The current developer that was working on it decided to take a unannounced vacation without finishing the job, since he's the only developer working on this system it got stopped so admins faced a dilemma.

For the people who are ranking the dm version it couldn't have come on a worse time than this. Today was supposed to be the day that the family system was gonna be activated and the first families were supposed to go up.

Admins made a newspost about this giving the players 2 choices in a VOTD that will last till tomorrow 20 OT the options are:

1) run a version that has families locked down until the new system is ready, a true free for all - oh sure the families will form but they will be hidden & underground but could lead to interesting things happening.

2) Activate the existing family system for the time being and then when the new one is ready implement that (and handle the existing ones in some way again)

If the dm players chose for the 2nd option family systems will be unlucked at 5ot same day.

For .com this leaves another 2 options open.
People can vote to either reset the version now, and go on with the old family system.
The other option is to keep the current version till the new system is ready (around the end of August), and reset then.
