However, it's now only available on deathmatch version of Omerta, so if you have an account there, give it a try. Many questions will be answered today, so let's see how this Lackey will work! He was however successful 0 times You fired him before he could buy any bullets - better luck next time It looks like bullet Lackey is not really working, but taking credits away from you. After first test run of 5 credits, message says that Lackey bought 1,500 bullets for $825k cash, but neither I received bullets nor my cash was taken away! Considering that average price of a bullet was $550 in this attempt, it's even better no money was taken from account - this is too expensive! _____________________________________________________________________ The whole story: After we've been able to use many different Lackeys during the past few months on all Omerta versions, today devs introduced a new Lackey. As it was previously announced when Lackeys were first available on deathmatch version, bullet Lackeys are finally shown on our Market pages. However, they're still not unlocked and we can't use them. What we can see is that bullet Lackey, named Sluggs, will cost 5 credits per attempt to buy bullets. Here are some leaked messages how this looked like at the beginning of testing: Quote Lackey hired for 5 credits Your Lackey has now run out of Credits While he was running he bought bullets 1 times. He was however successful 1 times He bought a grand total of 1,500 bullets Lackey hired for 20 credits Your Lackey has now run out of Credits While he was running he bought bullets 4 times. He was however successful 4 times He bought a grand total of 6,000 bullets Lackey hired for 100 credits Your Lackey has now run out of Credits While he was running he bought bullets 20 times. He was however successful 20 times He bought a grand total of 30,000 bullets Considering those messages are about two weeks old, it's most likely that testing of this Lackey is near it's end, due to it finally being shown on our Market pages. Obviously, unlike all other Lackeys, this bullet one should be successful 100%. What this means? Well, if admins really want to fight scripts, bullet Lackey has to buy bullets on every attempt, and not every other or every third, or even buy nothing after being hired for some bigger amount of credits, since it's well known that scripts always buy it, whenever there is cash in players pocket and there are bullets in local bulletfactory. However, three big questions remain open: 1. Maximum hireable time For how many hours, or, for how many credits will we be able to hire this lackey? If we look at quotes above, you can see that longest hired Lackey was hired for 100 credits, which means it was running for 20 hours (20 attempts x 5 credits = 100 credits). However, it can't be possible, since maximum limit for bullets in 24h period is not 30,000 bullets! Also, once you reach maximum bullets count on previous day, you can buy 2x less bullets the next day. So this obviously still needs to be worked out. 2. Price per bullet How much will be the bullet price? Will it be lowest possible ($300) or will it be some random bullet price between $300 and $800? Or will script, as Lackey description says, find a city with lowest price and 'fly over there, buy bullets and get in 1 hour cooldown. This might also mean that manual players will never be able to buy bullets, since Lackeys are faster and don't type codes! 3. How to pay for bullets Even if Lackeys would buy bullets for $300 each, which is hard to believe, that means we must have $9mil in our pockets. It's not that easy for lower ranks to keep that much cash in their pockets, since they'd most likely get shot. Now, will bullet Lackeys take cash out of our banks as well and what happens once we're out of cash, but still with some credits remain? So many questions and questions inside the questions and by the looks of it, devs & admins are preparing everything to go live and available for hiring very soon. Will this be yet another bad move? Or will we finally see a good working Lackey right when it get's available? What do you think about bullet Lackeys?
